Full Forgiveness & Full Cleansing From Sin

The first eyewitness to Jesus is John the Baptist. John preached repentance from sin and baptized people to prepare for the coming of Jesus, the Promised One. John provides eyewitness (and ear-witness) testimony that Jesus did what sacrifices animals and washing with water could never do: completely and permanently take away our punishment for sin and completely and permanently cleanse us from sin. In order to do those things, Jesus, the Son of God, came to die like a sacrificed lamb in our place and give us the Holy Spirit forever.
