God the Father Gives Believers to Jesus to Keep Forever

The human condition is that we long for what cannot last, and we try to accomplish it by our own work. Jesus stands in stark contrast to this. What He gives will endure to eternal life, AND we don't receive it by our works, but by trusting in Jesus. The reason it will last forever is that when we trust in Jesus, God the Father is giving us to Jesus and the Father's will is that Jesus would save all who believe in Him, never cast them out, never lose them, and raise them up on the last day.
