- God's blood-bought children submit to His discipline

Family Discussion Questions:
Younger and Older:
- God is in control of all things, so when bad things happen to you does that mean that He doesn't love you?
- What did God do in order to adopt sinners to make them His children?
- At the end of our lives if we continue to trust in Jesus, what will we be like when we see God face to face?
Deeper Discussion:
- What would be worse than God disciplining you?
- How is a Gospel which only sees forgiveness and not reconciliation and adoption completely unable to understand suffering?
- What would it mean for a person to be subject to God in His discipline?
- What is the fruit that God's discipline works in us in the near and in the far futures?
- How would "considering" the suffering and sonship of Jesus keep you from growing weary and fainthearted in suffering?
