1. God designed Zion as a fountain of His Word to gather the nation
2. Zion longed to be like the nations trusting in the works of their hands
3. God will judge their lords
4. God will judge their beauty
5. The Lord redeems His beautiful Bride by the fires of judgement

1. What was the role of God’s city/people/country supposed to be? Where would you find that in Scripture before Isaiah?
2. How does Isaiah show (word picture) they did the opposite?
3. What are ways which the church keeps conforming to the world?
4. Which event did God use to judge and cleanse those sins in the Old Testament?
5. Only those whose names are written for life in Jerusalem remain after the judgement which cleansed sin. Who are those people?
6. Which other passages group the Bride, Zion and names are written in the book of life?
7. How does Christ purify the church from her stains?
