Isaiah 33-35

 Sermon Outline:

1.    The Summary of history: salvation or destruction by the Lord (Isaiah 33:1-12)

2.    Zion sees and grieves over her sin, and then sees and enjoys the beauty of her King (Isaiah 33:13-24)

3.    God’s permanent wrath on the nations will be satisfy His justice (Isaiah 34)

4.    The Redeemer brings weak people to Himself in Zion with great gladness (Isaiah 35)

1.    What is the main difference between waiting for the Lord and thinking He’ll never come?

2.    Why is the Law of God helpful for us to “see” the Gospel?

8.    How does the vision of Zion give strength to those who are pilgrims on their way there?

9.    Why is the highway to Zion called, “the way of holiness”? What impact is that to have upon us?

10.  How do 35:10 and 33:13-16 tell us how sinners end up on the Way of Holiness and ultimately in Zion?
